Pi Day Edition

Welcome to the Pi Day edition. We are George School’s official publication for Mathematics, Arts, Technology, Engineering, and Science!

In this edition, MATES has prepared for you some community artwork, updates regarding the George School Varsity Math Team (including a historical commentary of the 2019 matchup against Westtown that led to us winning our first championship), exponential graphs, football, snowboarding, and osmotic pressure.

Actually interesting Pi Day fact, especially for George School: The brightest Pi star is Pi Puppis. This is the second brightest star in Puppis because Puppis used to be part of a larger constellation, which was called Argo Navis. ARGO is George School's literary magazine.

We would like to express gratitude to contributors of this edition: Alex Chen '24, William Chen '25, Wilson Chen '23, Linglong Dai '23, Forest Ho-Chen '22, Rudy Jatnieks '24, Zach Kalb '22, Andrew Luisi '24, Zach Spangler '22, Jon Trouba '25, Shane Vogel '24, and Jackson Yang '25.
