Term 1 Edition 2023

With the start of the new term, MATES is proud to present our new edition - Term 1 Edition. As the name suggests, this year we will be publishing every term (for those outside George School, there are 7 terms in a year).

Our new format includes Feature Articles (subject-based inquiries just like old editions), Student Spotlight (student research and competition), and Campus Highlight (GS News and their STEM background).

For this edition, we have two feature articles: a review of studies done on the correlation of handedness with success in fencing, and a short inquiry on 2D geometry in 3D spaces

We also bring an overview of STEM related competitions that are happening this year; many of them have found a successful start to this year.

We thank you for viewing this edition, and stay tuned for our next edition, where we will feature an in-depth article on the George School recycling♻️ system, as well as Independent Student Research planned to happen this year.
