Early in the 2021-2022 school year, my computer was malfuctioning and had to be sent off for repairs. I had to use an iPad for learning instead. The iPad did not have a case, and the camera was sticking out of the main box, which gave me anxiety because dynamic friction and hands. Afraid that the camera might scratch against the tables, I built this iPad stand out of my Lego Robotics parts.

The major engineering parts of this include the low wall at the bottom, allowing the user to use the bottom of the iPad while still holding the iPad, and the back supports, which prevent the stand from shaking or collapsing. Although the trusses are not as complex as the trusses on a bridge, they still function well enough to prevent the stand from collapsing due to the lower tension and compression.
