Random Fun Stuff

Hi. I'm putting some fun statistics/facts/if you read this before the contest, it might help, here.

  • PMC III is the first Penn Math Contest to officially be labelled with Roman Numerals.

  • PMC III is also the first Penn Math Contest to be written with a clear theme: Penn Clubs. PMC II also had a theme of Penn Buildings, but this was assigned after PMC II.

  • I wanted to get a PMC III Super Bowl like logo, but unfortunately, I had to make it myself, which is why it looks "like that."

  • I actually made more than 10 PMC III logo designs.

  • I was wondering how many times different clubs were mentioned. The top three were PASA (Penn Astronomical Student Association) with 13, Penn Labs with 7, and UPGRADE (University of Pennsylvania Game Research and Development Environment) with 7.

  • The PMC III logo at the top of this page has the background from a PASA telescope night.

  • PMC III is the first PMC to have music. (PMC II was supposed to have some music playing during the ceremonies, but we forgot...) Also, I'm the composer for all of the original songs.

  • More to come...
