Being a part of MATES has been a meaningful experience that allowed me to write about scientific issues and communicate with other students with similar interests. Because we focus editions on different topics every month, I was able to write about different subjects, and learned a lot about the science topics when reading what other people wrote.

During your time at George School, I suggest that you try to explore things that you are deeply interested in, because there are a lot of ways to do this. I was interested in math and was able to learn a lot about math and statistics. In junior year, I tried AP Chemistry and AP Physics, and learned a lot.

I hope that MATES continues the tradition of having every edition with a theme or topic, allowing writers to write about whatever they are interested in. I also hope that writers write about a more variety of topics so more students can share and read different perspectives.
