Week Zero of the Philly Varsity Math League:

Welcome to Kickoff Week!

In the kickoff game to the 2024 Philly Varsity Math League, defending league and tournament champions, the George School Varsity Math Team Cougars, looks to show that they are still a competent team as they face League 1 newcomers, the Friends Central Phoenix.

Meanwhile, in League 2, The Baldwin Bears, coming off a very strong performance at the third Penn Math Contest, face The Haverford School Fords in a match that is sure to have Inter AC implications.

Other matches include the Masterman Blue Dragons, the new team in the league, facing off against the Penn Charter Quakers; the Germantown Friends School Tigers taking on the Agnes Irwin Owls; The Hill School Rams taking on the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Blue Devils; and the Episcopal Academy Math Club Churchmen taking on the Westtown Moose.

Cougars vs Phoenix: Phoenix win 35-34.

Match of the Week:

Bears vs Fords: Fords win 35-34.

Churchmen vs Moose: Churchmen win 39-36.

Rams vs Blue Devils: Blue Devils win 38-37.

Blue Dragons vs Quakers: Quakers win 29-25.

Tigers vs Owls: Tigers win 27T-27 on time.
